Alorair Air scrubber FAQs
Whether you've just installed an air scrubber or you're troubleshooting an old one, get quick answers to frequently asked questions and banish your equipment worries.
If your air scrubber isn't working, start by making sure the power cord is securely plugged in and the indicator light is on. If the light is off or the cord looks damaged, the power cord may need to be replaced.
Next, check for any loose or damaged wires inside the unit. If all wiring looks good but the machine still won’t turn on, the issue could be with the control panel, rotary switch, or mainboard. These parts may need to be inspected and possibly replaced.
If you've gone through these steps and the unit still isn't working, please contact our customer support team at (888) 990-7469 or email support@alorair.com for help.
If your Air Scrubber is producing loud noises, the first step is to examine the fan blades for any signs of damage. Damaged blades can lead to increased noise during operation and should be replaced. If the blades are in good condition, take a moment to check the screws on the mounting bracket to ensure they are secure and not missing; tighten or reinstall them as necessary. Additionally, inspect the air inlet and outlet for any obstructions and clear away any debris. If everything appears to be functioning properly but the noise continues, it may indicate internal damage from transport or other issues, which could mean the fan needs to be replaced.
The UV-C light is programmed to turn on for 3 minutes every 4 hours of operation, so it may not be on continuously. If it's not lighting up at all, make sure the unit has been running long enough to trigger the cycle. If the light still doesn’t come on, the issue could be with the mainboard, the ballast, or the UV-C lamp itself. A faulty mainboard might not send the proper signal, a damaged or burned-out ballast can prevent the lamp from working, and a burned-out lamp will also need to be replaced. If you're not sure which part is causing the problem, please contact our customer support team at (888) 990-7469 or email support@alorair.com for assistance.
If the fan isn't turning on, first check whether the mainboard is working. A faulty mainboard can prevent the blower from starting and may need to be replaced. If the mainboard is fine, the problem could be a faulty blower motor. Also, inspect all wiring connections to make sure nothing is loose or damaged. Reconnect or replace any damaged wires.
If the 'Filter change light' remains on, replace the filter. If the filter is clean or has been changed recently and the light is still illuminated, it may indicate a problem with the wiring or the light itself. Please reach out to our customer support team for further assistance. You can contact us by calling (888) 990-7469 or by emailing support@alorair.com.
If the hour meter is not showing any numbers, please check the wiring at the back to ensure it is securely connected. If the hour meter is displaying numbers but not counting time, it will need to be replaced.
If your GFCI outlet is not providing power, start by checking that the GFCI outlet's reset button is engaged. If it is but you're still not getting power, the outlet may be defective and could need to be replaced. For assistance with your replacement, please contact our customer support team. You can reach us by calling (888) 990-7469 or by emailing support@alorair.com.
